Principal's Weekly Update: September 12

Westmont Community,

The campus continues to be a busy place with different student activities. Our Fall athletic teams, consisting of cross country, field hockey, girls volleyball, water polo and football have had a successful start. With the inaugural season of boys’ water polo, the team was excited to experience their 1st ever win this past week!  Our marching band enters its first competition on Saturday, October 2nd.  We have enjoyed hearing them at our home football game and know that they will be a big success.

This week students have an early release on Wednesday and Thursday, due to Collaboration Days. A reminder that on these days students are released at 1:30.

The health and safety of our students and staff continue to be our top priority, and we want our community to be informed. This past week, our campus had 1 confirmed COVID-19 exposure. Each case of COVID-19 on our campus is thoroughly investigated to identify close contacts quickly and stop any further exposure.
The affected individual was directed by the Public Health Department to isolate and their immediate family/household members and all identified close contacts have been contacted by school staff and directed to follow the CDPH quarantine recommendations for schools, monitor for COVID-19 symptoms, and comply with the recommended interventions.
Please continue to monitor your student for symptoms and keep them home if they are sick. Please contact your healthcare provider if they develop symptoms or if you have any additional questions or concerns. For more information on CUHSD's COVID-19 Plan and Response please click here
