Principal's Update: April 23

Hello Westmont Families!

We successfully completed two weeks of students returning to the classroom and we are looking forward to more students returning next week for 4 days of in-person instruction per week.  We appreciate how well the students followed all the safety protocols that we put in place (completing the health screening every day, social distancing, etc.) and I am sure they enjoyed finally coming back to school in person as much as we like having them here.

I have included links for our Student/Parent Handbook as well as a short video explaining our returning to school procedures. Please review the handbook and enjoy the video.

We are still working on adding as many of our students as possible to in-person classes per emails we received from parents.  We did receive some emails from students asking to return in person, but it must be the parent that makes that decision. If a parent previously requested to have their student remain distance learning, but would not like their student to return to campus for in-person instruction, the parent must email Ms. Martwick ([email protected]).

Many families have already received confirmation but if you haven't, please do not have your students return to school until they have received confirmation that they are scheduled to return.  They should continue with their distance learning until then.  If you do not hear from the school by Monday, April 26th, please email Roma Martwick at [email protected] to verify if and when your student can return to school in person.

We also want to remind you that if you do not choose to have your student return to in-person classes by May 7th, your student will have to remain in distance learning for the remainder of the school year.

If you haven't done so already, please check out our latest theatre production of Shrek which is streaming tonight, Saturday and Sunday night at 7:00 and @ 2:00 tomorrow.  Please go to www.WestmontTheatre.com to purchase your tickets.  This is a virtual performance.  I have seen it and it is fantastic.

Lastly, 12 week Progress Report grades will be posted in the Aeries Parent Portal on Monday, April 26th after 4:00 PM.

Thank you, and Go Warriors!
