Earth Science is a college preparatory science elective that provides our 9th grade students a foundation in the basic critical thinking skills and background needed to succeed in future science courses.
The topics covered in this course are organized around the following major concepts: Dynamic Earth Processes; Energy in the Earth System; Biogeochemical Cycles; Structure and Composition of the Atmosphere; California Geology; Investigation and Experimentation; and Earth’s Place in the Universe.
