DRIVERíS EDUCATION
Grade Level: 9 through 12
Prerequisite: none
This is an optional nine week course offered during zero period, which meets everyday from 7:00 a.m.-7:50a.m. The student will be presented with a combination of activities promoting safe driving and the consequences due to negligence. This course complies with the State Department of Motor Vehiclesí requirements for driverís Education.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Grade Level: 12th with Teacher and Counselor Approval
The program is designed to bring students realistic learning experiences through supervised part-time employment.  A major goal of the program is to assist students in becoming productive, responsible individuals.  Students are placed in jobs in the community according to their interest, aptitudes, and skills.  Attendance in a weekly class held at the high school is mandatory.  Students must have a job.

SPIRIT
Grade: 9 though 12
Prerequisite: Must try out and make the team
This class is designed for students who participate in the Westmont High School cheer team. This is a yearlong ten-credit class that gives students the opportunity to participate in the Spirit of the school with optimum time for hands on experience.
