HOMEMAKING (APPLIED LIVING ARTS)

CHILD DEVELOPMENT
$15 Lab Fee for year
Grade Level: 11 through 12 (10th with Teacher approval)
Students learn about children for conception through kindergarten age, help operate a pre-school, and gain an in-depth knowledge of child psychology, growth, and development.  Speakers and learning activities for pre-schoolers, such as finger painting, stories, and music will be included.

FOODS I
$40 Lab Fee per semester
Grade Level: 9 through 12
Prerequisite: None
The course focuses on cooking skills, nutrition, and food shopping.  Students learn how to select and prepare food that is both tasty and nutritious.  Through laboratory experiences, demonstrations, and other activities, students develop skills in meal planning, entertaining with food, and working with other people.
